The year 1914 and the first library – In 1913, only 400 people lived in the area that would become Martin County in 1925. The year 1914 saw the opening of the first library in the area.
A Brief History of the Library – The Village of North Palm Beach was founded in October of 1956. The North Palm Beach Library began in the old Oakes Mansion (the Winter Club).
